Are You Eating Enough Fiber?

Chances are you’re not getting nearly enough plant fiber in your diet, …but so what?

Turns out there are serious health consequences when we lack enough fiber in our diet. Here are six symptoms that will tell you if you’re short (97% of Americans are) :

  • You’re hungry even after you eat,
  • You’re constipated and bloated,
  • You have high cholesterol,
  • You need a nap after you eat,
  • You’re gaining weight in the wrong places,
  • You often feel nauseated,

If any of these symptoms are you, it would be smart to check your daily fiber intake.  It’s not that hard to do.  Just see how many and how much of these fiber-rich foods  you’re eating each day.  It should be at least 25g (female) or 38g (male) daily, and if it’s not, you can use this same list to add more fiber-rich foods to your diet.
Here are 6 Foods and Tips for More Fiber.
I’m happy to say that Victoria and I are both getting enough fiber.  So we’re feeling good and I’m happy that I checked.  I’d love to learn your findings.  Please let me know.
